#23 Oliveros Sun Grown Reserve

This epic encounter might be one of the bigger surprises on the Top 30 Cigar of the Year countdown.  This time it takes us to a new blend from Rafael Nodal of Oliveros Cigars.

Coming it at #23 is the Oliveros Sun Grown Reserve.  This was one of three new blends introduced at the 2011 IPCPR trade show.   While the other two blends, Aging Room Cigars M356 and the Swag Limitado 99 got a lot of attention, the Oliveros Sun Grown Reserve flew under the radar.   This was one of the revelations from the 2011 IPCPR.

The Oliveros Sun Grown Reserve is a well-balanced medium strength, medium to full-bodied cigar.  The flavor notes provide flavors of coffee, caramel-sweetness which the perfect amount of cedar spice.  The interesting characteristic of this flavor profile was how well the various flavors meshed together.  The construction and burn of this cigar was top-notch providing an excellent burn and excellent draw.
