Ortega Cigars launched their web-site and it has provided a first glimpse into what the company is launching.   While there are still more details to come, it is clear that the company has plans for a busy 2012.

Ortega Cigars is named for its founder – Eddie Ortega.  Ortega is most famous for being a founder of EO Brands and most notably, the 601 Series that was launched from that company.   It was from that venture where Ortega has become a popular figure in the cigar industry. 

We do know that Ortega Cigars is planning three cigars for 2012.   Some preliminary information has been posted on the web-site.   Here is what we know at this time:

There are three cigars lines mentioned, but there are four wrappers also mentioned that will make up the cigars..  There is no information on what that means at this time.  The four wrappers advertised are: San Andres Mexican Maduro, Ecuadorian Habano, Connecticut Broadleaf, and Connecticut Natural.

Information on the three lines of cigars are included below.  According to Ortega Cigars, the plan is for the lines to begin rolling out in the first quarter of 2012.

Ortega Serie “D”

Before today, some people might have heard some buzz about this line.  The web-site showcases a picture of this cigar, it list the blend and the sizes.  This blend is being targeted for authorized brick and mortar retailers only.  The cigar is made in Nicaragua at the My Father Cigar factory.
