L’Atelier Imports is planning on adding a maduro offering to its line in 2013.   This information was provided via an email to New Havana Cigars customers from owner Dan Welsh, who is also a part of L’Atelier Imports.

There were no specifics in regards to the blend or the vitolas that would be made available.  The email did indicate a June/July, 2013 release date is planned.

In addition, Welsh mentioned there are other projects planned for L’Atelier including the possibility of “a new Surrogate or two”.  This also joins a LAT46SS line extension to the L’Atelier line announced late last year.

L’Atelier Imports made its debut at the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show.Tatuaje founder Pete Johnson was involved with the launch of the company, but the operations are separate and run by Johnson’s brother K.C. Johnson, Johnson’s friend Sean “Casper” Johnson, and Welsh.
