Davidoff officially confirmed in a 4/9/13 story in Cigar Aficionado that the company is launching their first Nicaraguan puro – Davidoff Nicaragua.  This is the first Nicaraguan puro under the Davidoff umbrella. Both Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Insider noted the details of the cigar.  The company also noted the story on its Facebook page.

If you have been following our Cigar Week Wrap the past few weeks, we noted several comments by Davidoff CEO Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard about new releases coming down the pipe.  We also noted a comment by the Cigar Authority Show that broke the story that a Nicaraguan puro was coming.

While the cigar will use all Nicaraguan tobaccos, the cigar itself will be produced at Davidoff’s factory in the Dominican Republic.  The cigar will be launched at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show.

Here are the details that were listed in the 4/9/13 Cigar Aficionado and Cigar Insider stories.
