Rocky Patel Premium Cigars will be launching a new line of cigars called the Rocky Patel Royale.  Information of this cigar was first reported on the 5/11/13 edition of the Cigar Dave Show.  He also mentioned the Bold by Nish Patel, which may have ties to the Royale.

Cigar Dave referred to a blend called the “C24 Sumatra” which apparently has been selected as the blend for the Rocky Patel Royale.  The blend was described as having an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper with Nicaraguan and Honduran tobaccos in the blend.  The cigar will come in a box-press in four sizes:  Robusto (5 x 52),  Toro (6 1/2 x 54), Torpedo (6 x 52), and Emperor (7 1/2 x 62).

In an article for the 4/30/13 Cigar Insider,  Rocky Patel Premium Cigars’ Executive Vice President Nish Patel mentioned the Bold by Nish Patel project.  In the article, Patel talked about several blends being considered for the Bold (the second cigar in the Rocky Patel Premium Cigars line bearing his name).  The C-24 Sumatra box-press blend was mentioned as one of the possibilities for the blend for the Bold.  It appears that this blend has been moved over to a different line.  Patel did say Habano and Connecticut Broadleaf options are being considered for the final blend of the Bold.  Cigar Dave did mention a P33 blend was selected, but no information was given at this time.

The Rocky Patel Royale cigar is expected to be launched at the 2013 IPCPR Trade Show and released to retailers later this year.
