“One thing I can count on is that each new La Palina blend delivers its own story in terms of the cigar experience – and Mr. Sam clearly does this.”

#27 – La Palina Collection Mr. Sam

Coming in at #27 on the 2013 Cigar of the Year countdown is the La Palina Collection Mr. Sam.  This cigar marked the second blend to be released in the La Palina Collection line.

The Mr. Sam gives La Palina a spot on the Cigar of the Year countdown for the fourth consecutive year.  It also marks the first Ecuadorian Habano wrapper cigar to appear on this year’s countdown.

The La Palina Collection was introduced back in 2012.  The original concept is that each year a new limited edition cigar would come out in a different frontmark.  For the Mr. Sam, it the size was a 4 3/4 x 54 robusto.  Only 850 boxes of ten were produced.

The flavor profile of the Mr. Sam consists of a wide variety of flavors.  I’ve detected many notes including: red pepper, cedar spice, coffee, natural tobacco, nut, and mixed fruit

The price point for this cigar is around $12.00 for this cigar.
