Clint Aaron, President of 262 Cigars was a guest on Episode 100 of Stogie Geeks and made several announcements in regards to the recently released 262 Allegiance line.  Aaron said the Allegiance, which originally was a limited production run will be shifting to a full regular production run.  He also said that a Corona sized vitola would be added into the Allegiance line.  Finally all of the sizes of the Allegiance line will now be available in 20 count boxes.

Prior to getting its name, the 262 Allegiance was being called a “Seasonal Blend” which was intended to be limited production.  The response from the marketplace was so positive that the company made a decision to take this full production.  As a result Aaron said plans he had for another project at the 2014 IPCPR are being pushed back to 2015.

The Corona becomes the third vitola to be a part of the Allegiance line.  It will measure 5 1/2 x 44   Aaron said this will be a rounded vitola like the robusto (5 x 50).  There is also a box-pressed toro (6 x 54) that is a part of the line.

Allegiance was also originally offered in ten count boxes, but now Aaron has said they are moving forward with 20 count boxes across the entire line for the regular production run.

The Allegiance is being made at Tabacalera Carreras in Esteli Nicaragua.  The cigar features Brazilian Mata Fina natural wrapper with a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan and Honduran filler.
