While Davidoff’s Flagship Store program is undergoing an expansion in the U.S. market, the program is also making its way around Europe.  Yesterday, the official opening of the Davidoff of Geneva – Since 1911 Flagship store opened up in Amsterdam.

“We are delighted to open our new Flagship Store in Amsterdam. The challenge in designing this unique cigar shop was to preserve the company’s history but to continue our mission to delight and surprise our customers worldwide by delivering unique brands and unrivalled retail experiences,” explained Hans-Kristian Hoejsgaard, CEO of Oettinger Davidoff AG in a press release.

“This particular Flagship Store is very important in our points-of-sale network and marks a new trend in our establishment in the Benelux countries. The official opening on April 29, 2015 is certainly one of those very special moments in life that merit taking the time to celebrate and enjoy the very best,” commented Jean-Christophe Hollay, General Manager / Vice President Northern Europe Oettinger Davidoff AG in the same press release.

The front of the Amsterdam store is adorned with a full glass facade overlooking the Amsterdam Design Museum.  The store itself 50 cubic meters and includes a 12 cubic meter walk-in humidor.  There is a cigar lounge on the second floor that is adorned with art from Engel Leonardo, who is participating in Davidoff’s Art Initiative program.

In addition there is a terrace located in the backyard.

Recently Davidoff has re-opened its first Flagship store located in Geneva, Switzerland. Davidoff has approximately 60 flagship stores worldwide. Flagship stores not only carry the entire Davidoff portfolio, but they also have a smoking lounge, and tend to focus on the entire customer experience.
