At the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show, Altadis USA introduced a line extension to its H. Upmann – The Banker line.  The H. Upmann – The Banker Basis Point No. 2 becomes the fourth vitola in the line introducing a 6 1/8 x 52 sized bellicose into the line.  The Basis Point No.2 is slated to hit retailer shelves late this August.

The Banker pays homage to the original brand founder Herman Upmann. Upmann was a German banker who in 1844 went to Havana Cuba and invested in a cigar factory – which became the H. Upmann brand. Around the time the company was founded, Upmann created a Cuban tobacco blend for his best customers, friends, and family. This H. Upmann Banker blend is meant to try to replicate a similar styled smoke to that personal blend of Upmann’s.

Pricing for the Basis Point No. 2 will be $8.30. The cigar will be packaged in 15 count boxes.
