Saga Cigars is a line launched by the Reyes family back in 2014. The line made its debut under the Reyes’ family’s Corporacion Cigar Export (CCE) company. Over the past year, the company has been renamed “De Los Reyes” cigars. While last year CCE shared a booth with Royal Gold Cigars, this year the company had its own booth under its new name.

The focus of De Los Reyes was around the two offerings of the Saga brand, the Saga Golden Age and the Saga Blend No. 7. Saga Golden Age is meant to be a throwback cigar to yesteryear. On the other hand, Saga Blend No. 7 is geared for the more contemporary smoker.

The Saga Golden Age is a Dominican puro highlighted by Dominican tobacco grown on the Reyes family farms from Cuban seeds. It features a Dominican Corojo 2006 wrapper, a Dominican binder over Dominican Cuban Seed filler. The cigar is offered in four sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Corona Gorda (5 1/2 x 46), Toro (6 x 52), and a Lancero (7 x40). This year, some slight packaging modifications took place for the Saga Golden Age which include modifications to the stencil-like logo to emphasize it against the tobacco. The gold was also enhanced.

The Saga Blend No. 7 is a multi-national blend highlighted by a Brazilian wrapper, a Dominican Habano binder and a filler from Central American and Dominican tobaccos. It is available in three sizes: Robusto (5 1/2 x 50), Perfecto (6 1/4 x 54), and Toro Gordo (6 1/2 x 58)
