Mike Bellody’s MLB Cigar Ventures has its fourth line, and third line under its Imperia brand to market. The company has recently started rolling out its new Imperia Aventador line.

Like the other Imperia cigars in the MLB Cigar Ventures portfolio, the Imperia Aventador is made at the Quesada Cigars factory in the Dominican Republic. The Aventador came about as a result of the blending sessions for the Imperia Islero – which was released in 2016.

The Aventador is named for a famous bull that competed in Spanish Bullfighting in 1993. It is also the name of an automobile by Lamborghini that also pays homage to the famous bull. Incidentally, the Islero line is also named for a famous bull that a Lamborghini vehicle also shares a name with.

For Imperia brand name, Bellody took inspiration from the city of Newport, Rhode Island – a place where he likes to spend his summers. While he couldn’t use the name Newport for his cigar, he was able to take the name of Newport’s “sister city” – Imperia (located in Italy).

Bellody describes the Aventador is falling “in between” the medium profile of the core Imperia line and the fuller profile of the Imperia Islero line.
