#11 Tatuaje Wolfman

The two-thirds point of the 2011 Cigar of the Year countdown has now been reached.  For the cigar that comes in at #11, this might have been 2011’s ultimate Epic Encounter for many cigar enthusiasts.   This Epic Encounter comes from Tatuaje and it now gives Pete Johnson’s company two cigars in the top twenty.

Coming it at #11 is the Tatuaje Wolfman.  The Tatuaje Wolfman is the fourth installment of Tatuaje’s annual monster Monster Series that started in 2008.  Since the initial release of “The Frank”, the annual Monster Series release has become one of the most sought after cigars around.   While much of the frenzy for these cigars comes around the “dress box” (i.e. Monster box) packaging, it ultimately is the cigar that I am judging – and this one was a good one.

The Tatuaje Wolfman is a long box-pressed torpedo with an uncovered foot.    It will deliver a smoke that is medium to full in strength and has full-bodied flavors.  There are a nice amount of flavors including: cedar, coffee, chocolate, cream, orange citrus, pepper, and baker’s spice.  As is par for the course with Tatuaje, the construction is excellent – providing a  great burn and draw.
