In this cigar conversation, I had a pre-IPCPR trade show talk with Emilio Cigars’ Brand Developer Gary Griffith.

First up, Griffith recaps the plans for what will be launched and announced at IPCPR.  This includes the rebranding of Grimalkin to La Musa, the La Musa Melete, the first release of the Los Regalos series.  He also discusses Draig-K and Carpe Noctem (which he says pre-orders will be taken at the show).  He also mentioned new frontmarks for some of the existing Emilio Cigar lines.

Griffith also discusses the new distribution agreements for Rodrigo Cigars and Herederos de Robaina and what these new brands will bring to table.

I then asked Griffith about some of the trends that he is seeing in the industry, and he provided some real interesting insights.  This includes the role of the small producers as well as the role of online media.  Finally, I ask Griffith where he thinks Emilio Cigars is in terms of where he expected the company to be at this point in time.

Special thanks to Gary Griffith for taking time to allow us to film this piece.
