Each year, we select cigars and people to be inducted into the Cigar Coop Hall of Fame. For cigars, there are three ways to gain induction: 1) The number one Cigar of the Year for the prior calendar year gains automatic induction; 2) All Cigars assessed “Memorable” at least one year prior to induction are looked at and given consideration; 3) One Wildcard selection. For personnel, we select on industry leader/ambassador and one non-industry ambassador. Selections are made Columbus Day Weekend each year.

Arturo Fuente Anejo No. 55

Cigar Coop Hall of Fame
Inductee Name: Arturo Fuente Anejo
Inductee Category: Cigar (Wildcard Selection)
Inductee Year: 2012

Each year a wildcard selection will be made to the Cigar Hall of Fame.  A wildcard is an additional selection outside the #1 cigar and memorable smokes from the year before – and can be any cigar from any
time period.

The Arturo Fuente Anejo is simply a classic release.  The genesis of this release starts with Fuente’s Opus X filler blend draped with a rich, dark, and oily Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper.  The flavor profile has a mix of cocoa, nut, and cedar spice.  The cigar features impeccable construction and this is reflected in the burn and draw.

The Fuente Anejo is released in small batches to authorized retailers – usually only one to two times a year.  The most famous vitola of this blend is the No. 77 “Shark” – a combined round and box-press torpedo.  This vitola is usually the most sought after when the Anejo is released.
