Great Neck, New York retailer Tobacco Plaza will be getting an exclusive size of the Padron 1926 maduro blend.  The cigar will be called the TP40 and will be launched at a cigar dinner on Wednesday April 17, 2013.  The significance of this cigar is that it marks the first time a Padron 1926 Serie blend has been made in a 60 ring gauge size.

According to the Tobacco Plaza web-site:

The Padron TP40 will be a 1926 Anniversary blend with a maduro wrapper in a 6 1/4 x 60 size. Only 218 10-count boxes will be created.

The TP40 stands for “Tobacco Plaza 40”.  It commemorates co-owner Marshall Holman’s 40 years in the cigar business.  The TP40 will be launched at a cigar dinner at the Carltun in Eisenhower Park on Wednesday, April 17th.

In addition, this is not the first time a 60 ring gauge retail exclusive cigar has been made by the Padron family.  In 2011, the Padron SI-15 Natural and Maduro was released as a limited edition retail exclusive to Smoke Inn in West Palm Beach – each containing a 60 ring gauge.  In 2012, Padron added the No. 4 as a 60 ring gauge offering to its 1964 Anniversary series.
