Joya de Nicaragua will be adding a sixth vitola to its CyB line.  This vitola will be a lancero vitola.  The new cigar will be ship in May and word is that this will be first introduced to the TAA (Tobacconist Association of America)

Jose Blanco, Senior Vice President at Joya de Nicaragua issued the following statement on his Facebook page:

“For many months people asked us when are you coming out with a CyB Lancero. Well after a year of going back and forth, last January we made the decision, we said it’s ready to go and we started production. Now why did it take so much time, first because that shape is one of the hardest to make, also we wanted it be memorable, so after a long wait, this coming May we’ll start to ship, this is one of the best smokes I’ve had in 46 years of smoking!!!!”

The CyB made its debut at the 2012 IPCPR Trade Show as the Cuenca y Blanco (named for company President Dr. Alejandro Martinez Cuenca and Blanco).  It was launched in five sizes.  Shortly after its release, Joya de Nicaragua made a proactive decision to rename the cigar CyB to avoid potential trademark issues.  The CyB finished as our #9 Cigar for 2012.
