Crowned Heads is adding a limited edition lancero to its Headley Grange line.  The cigar is being dubbed the Headley Grange Drumstick.  Information on this line extension was reported in a 9/11 story on Cigar Aficionado.com

A few weeks ago, we noted a report by Crowned Heads co-founder Jon Huber on his blog indicating a 2013 limited edition project was in the works.  The Drumstick becomes the company’s first lancero be released.

According to the article, the Drumstick will be packaged in boxes of ten and only 1500 boxes will be produced.

Headley Grange made its debut late last year with the 5 1/2 x 52 Estupendos vitola.  Four additional regular production vitolas were added in 2013.  The Drumstick becomes the sixth vitola to be released in the blend.

Headley Grange takes its cue from the music industry – named after a famed London Recording Studio.  The cigar is made at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s Tabacalera La Alianza factory.

The Headley Grange contains Nicaraguan tobaccos surrounded by an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper.  The article mentions the blend for the Drumstick was modified slightly to accommodate the smaller ring gauge.
