Kurt Kendall’s 7-20-4 cigars is getting ready to launch its fifth line.  The 7-20-4 Factory 57 is scheduled to hit retailer shelves this October.  It is anticipated that this cigar will be showcased at the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas.

The 7-20-4 brand is a old brand name brought back by Kendall.  7-20-4 was a cigar maker who had a factory in Manchester, New Hampshire (near 7-20-4’s current headquarters).  The factory was opened in 1874.  In terms of the name Factory 57, this refers to the U.S. Federal Goverment’s designation of the original 7-20-4 as a licensed and taxed manufacturer of premium cigars. The tax amounted to 20 cents per box of 20 premium cigars.
The 7-20-4 Factory 57 joins the 7-20-47-20-4 1874 Series, and 7-20-4 Hustler as 7-20-4 branded lines.  The company also released the limited edition K.A. Kendall Spider last year.  In terms of this release, Kendall said “It’s a small-batch limited release. If Factory 57 goes the way its predecessors have, it’ll find its way into our regular catalog of boutique cigars.”
Factory 57 is a medium-to-full-bodied cigar. Kendall describes the flavor profile as “bold, full, yet very smooth, with distinct creaminess”.
