As has been hinted out for several months, the Nestor Miranda line is undergoing a major re-vamping. The packaging and branding is being updated, and the line will now consist of a Connecticut, Habano, and Maduro option. Last week, the Nestor Miranda Collection made its debut at Cigar King, with a full blown launch planned for the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas.

The timing of this release coincides with Miami Cigar and Company’s 25th Anniversary as well as the announcement that company founder Nestor Miranda is planning on stepping down from the day to day operations of the company. The Nestor Miranda Collection combines the company’s history over the past 25 years, with the future direction.

The Nestor Miranda Collection will consist of two new blend offerings – the Nestor Miranda Collection – Habano and Nestor Miranda Collection – Maduro. The Nestor Miranda Collection – Connecticut will pretty much brand the Nestor Miranda Special Selection Connecticut, which was introduced in 2012. The Connecticut, Habano will be branded with blue coloring in the band, the Habano with green coloring, and the Maduro with red.

Miami Cigar and Company told the June 3rd Cigar Insider that the other two blends (Habano and Oscuro) of the Special Selection line have been retired.

Each of the three blends will be available in the same vitolas. All of the cigars are being produced at the My Father Cigars company in Esteli, Nicaragua.

At a glance, here is a look at the Nestor Miranda Collection:
