C & C Cigars will be launching a line of cigars to pair with various whiskeys. The company will launch its DRAM cigars for Whiskey and it will feature four distinct blends – each targeted to be paired with scotch, bourbon, or other whiskeys. The cigars will be launched at the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show in Las Vegas.

According to the company, the DRAM Cigars lines were “crafted specifically to choreograph the flavors of whiskey and cigars together enhancing the whiskey drinker’s experience”.

The name “dram” typically refers to a pour of alcohol.

Dram Cask No. 1 features a Connecticut Shade wrapper.  It is being positioned as a mild to medium strength cigar with a creamy profile.  This cigar is designed to be paired with whiskeys that have a citrus and woody profile.

Dram Cask No. 2 features a Corojo wrapper.  It is being positioned as a medium strength cigar with a complex profile.  This cigar is designed to be paired with whiskeys that have a spicy and woody profile.

Dram Cask No. 3 features a Habano wrapper.  It is being positioned as a cigar with medium plus strength and a spicy profile.  This cigar is designed to be paired with whiskeys that have a spicy and woody profile.

Dram Cask No. 4 features a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper.  It is being positioned as a cigar with medium to full strength and a spicy profile.  This cigar is designed to be paired with whiskeys that have a smokey and woody profile.

The 7/15 Cigar Insider reported the Dram Cigar series will be released in the following vitolas:

Robusto: 5 x 50
Toro: 6 x 54
Gigantor: 6 x 60
Churchill: 7 x 50

C & C Cigars was founded by Joe Chuisano.  Many people know Chuisano from his days as president of Cusano Cigars. Back in 2009, Davidoff purchased Cusano Cigars. Chuisano would stay on with Davidoff until February of 2011, when he would leave the company.  Shortly after that he would form a new company called C & C Cigars.
