Caldwell Cigar Company has started to inform select retailers of line extensions to the three blends that make up the Caldwell Collection. The extensions include two new sizes to Eastern Standard and one new size to each to Long Live the King and The King is Dead. At this time a limited production of 500 boxes per size will be released to these select retailers until the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show.

Being added to Eastern Standard are a 6 x 54 Super Toro and 5 x 60 Piramide bringing the total vitolas made in the line to six (In addition, there is a 5 x 40 Shop Exclusive to Small Batch Cigar called Eastern Standard Marble House). The blend to the Eastern Standard consists of a Hybrid Ecuadorian Connecticut seed wrapper, a Dominican Habano binder, and a mix of fillers that include Criollo 98, Dominican Corojo, and Nicaraguan Habano.

Long Live the King will add a 5 x 52 Belicoso bringing the total vitolas in the line up to five. The Long Live the King blend consists of a Dominican Corojo wrapper, a Dominican Corojo Binder, and fillers consisting of Dominican Corojo, Peruvian Pelo de Oro, and Nicaraguan Habano. Long Live the King finished as the Cigar Coop #14 Cigar of the Year for 2014.

Finally, a 6 1/2 x 52 Lonsdale will be added to The King is Dead bringing the total vitolas in the line to five. The King is Dead consists of a Dominican Negrito wrapper, a Dominican Corojo binder, and a mix of Dominican Negrito, HVA, and Dominican Corojo for the filler.

All of the new sizes will ship in 24 count boxes and are expected to arrive on retailer shelves by month’s end.
