Espinosa Laranja Caixa – Pre-Release (Cigar Coop Photo)

Espinosa Cigars will be adding a 6 1/2 x 48 box-pressed Corona Gorda to its Espinosa Laranja line.  Today the company has officially announced the Espinosa Laranja Caixa will become the fourth vitola, and first line extension in the Laranja line.  The cigar is officially set to make its debut at the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show.

The Laranja line was initially launched at the 2014 IPCPR Trade Show.  The cigar uses a Brazilian wrapper called Brazilian Laranja – which marked the first time an Espinosa branded cigar was released using a Brazilian wrapper.  Laranja is Portuguese for “orange” and the cigar was named became of the wrapper’s near orange hue.  The name Caixa also is Portuguese as it translates to “box”.

The final product will feature a secondary band with the name “CAIXA”.

Fernando Zacarias, Natonal Sales Manager for Espinosa Cigars confirmed to Cigar Coop the Caixa will be the same blend and come in 20 count boxes.

Last year, the Espinosa Laranja line was nominated for the Cigar Media Association’s Cigar of the Year.
