Brand Appearances on Countdown: 1 (2015)

Coming in at #30 is The Rake Cut by MoyaRuiz Cigars.  MoyaRuiz Cigars is a company owned by Danny Moya and Nelson Ruiz who have been producing cigars for the past three years. The duo has partnered with Erik Espinosa’s La Zona factory in Nicaragua. The Rake is the company’s third regular production cigar and it gives MoyaRuiz its first appearance on a Cigar Coop Countdown.

This blend is highlighted by four ligero leaves in the blend. Instead of using the ligero leaves to produce a powerhouse cigar, it actually delivers a cigar amplified in flavor. This medium to full strength, full-bodied cigar also provides a nice amount of complexity – delivering notes of mocha, spice and fruit. It is also the kind of cigar that when you sit back and smoke it undistracted, you will see a lot of nuances in the blend.

The box-pressed Robusto size featured with “The Cut” works perfectly with this blend – delivering an excellent smoking experience from start to finish. This regular production offering is sure to be staple in the MoyaRuiz portfolio for years to come.
