Add Nicaragua to the list of countries where Robert Caldwell will be producing his cigars. Today, Cigar Federation broke news that Caldwell has teamed up with Drew State Tobacco Company to produce a cigar called “All Out Kings”. Caldwell is working along side Drew Estate Master Blender Willy Herrera on the cigar blend at the Joya de Nicaragua factory is where it will be produced. Distribution will be handled by Caldwell Cigar Company.

Cigar Federation Owner Logan Lawler interviewed Caldwell, Herrera, and Drew Estate co-founder Jonathan Drew provided insights into the project. The project has been in the works for over a year. Blend details, sizes, and pricing are still forthcoming.

This is the third country and third factory Caldwell will be making his cigars out of. Caldwell currently works with Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic to produce the Caldwell Collection, Iberian Express, and The Last Tsar lines. He works with Davidoff’s Agroindustrias Laepe S.A to produce Blind Man’s Puff. The addition of Drew Estate and the Joya de Nicaragua factory in Nicaragua makes Caldwell one of the few companies producing cigars in the three major cigar producing countries outside of Cuba.

Drew Estate has recently been involved with collaborations with the Van Winkle family (Whiskey) and Paul Rosenberg (music).  The Caldwell project represents the first major cigar personality Drew Estate has partnered with since the 2009 Nosotros project with Illusione Cigars’ Owner Dion Giolito. While Herrera has worked with other companies and personalities while at El Titan de Bronze, the project with Caldwell is the first outside company he has blended a cigar with.

Update (2/27/16) We corrected article as we had Herrera incorrectly listed as Drew Estate co-founder. We have corrected this to be Jonathan Drew.
