If you heard Episode 172 of Stogie Geeks, Smoke Inn proprietor Abe Dababneh mentioned that he was working on a project with Davidoff for his franchise’s 20th anniversary. Today Smoke Inn announced details of that project – which is slated to become the 11th installment of the Smoke Inn Microblend Series.

The Smoke Inn Microblend Series concept involves the South Florida retailer teaming up with some of the biggest names in the cigar industry to produce a small batch limited run exclusive to its shops. The series was originally launched late in 2010 to commemorate Smoke Inn’s 15th anniversary. It was originally planned to be a four set series, but since then has grown to become one of the most successful shop exclusive lines in the history of the cigar industry.

“Our anniversary cigar was one of the last projects we worked on with Tom Ryhiner of Davidoff before he relocated back to Switzerland. Tom’s assistance was instrumental in helping us find that distinctive blend within the Davidoff profile we desired,” commented Dababneh in a press release. “When we received samples of five slightly varying blends, our team couldn’t wait to try them. We were amazed when all of us unanimously selected the same blend for our 20th Anniversary Cigar. We felt it was just that right unique blend that would appeal to the loyal Davidoff connoisseur and aficionados alike.”

The cigars feature a Connecticut Ecuadorian Rojiza wrapper over Dominican binder and filler. The cigar will be a 6 x 52 belicoso packaged in 10 count boxes. The total production is slated for 300 boxes.  Pre-orders will begin at www.smokeinn.com on April 11th at 12 Noon Eastern time. Pre-orders will ship on April 25th and any remaining boxes will be sold at Smoke Inn retail locations or at www.smokeinn.com.
