At last year’s IPCPR Trade Show, PDR Cigars unveiled its most premium release to date, the Flores y Rodriguez Connecticut Valley Reserve Broadleaf Maduro. This year, the company unveiled a second packaging option for the product – ceramic jars.

The ceramic jars do not replace the original elongated wooden boxes, but complement them as another offering. While the box option contains 15 cigars, the jars contain 19 cigars. The jars are produced in limited quantities.

PDR Cigars debuted the original Flores y Rodriguez Connecticut Valley Reserve Broadleaf Maduro at the 2016 IPCPR Trade show. The cigar consists of a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper over a double binder of Ecuadorian Corojo and Habano from Nicaragua. The filler is mostly Nicaraguan as it features Criollo 98 from Condega.  There is also a touch of Dominican Corojo in the blend. The cigars are released in four sizes: Robusto (5 x 52), Belicoso (5 1/2 x 54), Gran Toro (6 x 54), and Figurado ( 6 1/2 x 52). Ceramic Jar sizes are offered for each of the four sizes.

The jar options have also be extended to the second blend in the Connecticut Valley Reserve line – the Flores y Rodriguez Connecticut Valley Reserve Azul.
