For the eighth consecutive year, the Cigar Coop brand will be providing coverage of the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers (IPCPR) Association Trade Show and Convention. We are proud to be a part of a very small group of media to say that. Our four-part series has you covered whether you are going to the show or following from home.

IPCPR 2017 Pre-Game – Around the Show Floor

Here is our look at the trade show and what to expect from the various companies and brands. Covering the trade show is not easy. We would like to thank those companies and brands that proactively have reached out to us providing either formal or informal press information for the 2017 Trade Show. These companies are denoted with a ♦.

De Los Reyes ♦: The company is showcasing Saga Short Tales Tomo 3, 4, and 5.

Alpha Cigar Company ♦: The company will formally launch its Édition New Orleans Line and showcase the electronic Fuego Lighter it is distributing.

Bombay Tobak ♦: The company will formally launch the Gaaja Robusto.

Cornelius & Anthony ♦: The company will officially launch Aerial and Señor Esugars out of La Zona. The company will also launch the new Lonsdale line extension for Cornelius.

Debonaire ♦: Front and center will be the new Debonaire Daybreak. The company will also showcase its new packaging.

Drew Estate ♦: The big release will be the new Undercrown Sun Grown line. Drew Diplomat retailers will be able to get the new Pappy Van Winkle Tradition and the newly nationally distributed Florida Sun Grown. There are several new line extensions to the Acid line (including Candela). Finally the new 4 x 32 line extensions added across the portfolio will be showcased.

Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust ♦: The company will formally launch its new Todos Las Dias line as well as the new Muestra de Saka Nacatamale. In addition the company will formally showcase the Mi Querida Gordita.

JRE Tobacco Company ♦:  New new product announcements have been made.

LH Cigars ♦:Nick Syris will team up with Jim Robinson to reach Lavida Isla. Distribution for LH Cigars is now being handled by Rrobinson.

MLB Cigar Ventures ♦: The recently released Imperia Aventador will be front and center.

Serino Cigar Company ♦: The company will have a full launch of its Wayfarer line.

Villiger North America ♦: The company will showcase the return of La Flor de Ynclan.

1502 Cigars ♦: No formal  product announcement have been made as of yet, but the company will have a booth at the 2017 IPCPR.

262 Cigars ♦: The company will not exhibiting be at the 2017 IPCPR.

A.J. Fernandez Cigars ♦:  The company will formally launch the New World Puro Especial.

AKA / Acme Cigars: The company will not be at the 2017 IPCPR.

Altadis U.S.A. ♦:  One of the showcase lines will be the recently announced Monte by Montecristo AJ Fernandez

Alec Bradley ♦: Two Stealth releases, the Black Market Estelí and the Alec Bradley Prensado Lost Art will have a national launch.

Arandoza Cigars:  The company will not be at the 2017 IPCPR.

Arturo Fuente:  No new product announcements have been made.

Asylum Cigars ♦: No new product announcements have been made.

AVO Cigars ♦: It will be the brand’s first show since the passing of Avo Uvezian. The focus will be around the AVO Syncro South America Ritmo and the Puritos line extensions to AVO Syncro Nicaragua and Fogata.

Berger & Argenti: While it hasn’t made any formal announcements, the company is at IPCPR and appears to be getting ready to relaunch.

Black Label Trading Company / Black Works Studio ♦:  The long awaited Black Works Studio Boondock Saint will be showcased.

Boutique Blends Cigars ♦: This year the company will be in the Altadis USA booth where it is expected to showcase the Aging Room Quattro F55 Maduro.

Caldwell Cigar Company: The buzz will be on the collaborations with Matt Booth.

Camacho Cigars ♦: The big focus will be on the recently released Nicaraguan Barrel-Aged and Camacho BXP line.

Casa Cuevas Cigars ♦: The company will not have a booth at the 2017 IPCPR Trade Show.

CLE Cigar Company ♦:  No new product announcements have been made. We expect the EIROA The First 20 Years Colorado to get a push.

Colibri ♦: The new Colibri SV-Cut will make its debut. The company will also launch the Gotham and Rally lighters.  Finally the company will launch its new leather Colibri Explorer travel case.

Crowned Heads: The company will introduce the Four Kicks Maduro. The company will also showcase its Connecticut Shade line, Luminosa.

Crux Cigar Company ♦: Crux Epicure, a release announced last year will finally have a full launch. The 2016 Cigar of the Year, the Crux du Connoisseur will receive a Corona Gorda line extension. Meanwhile addition runs of the Crux Limitada PB5 and Crux Limitada Show Exclusive will be available

Cubariqueño Cigar Company ♦: The company will formally launch Protocol Themis and the new Protocol Probable Cause Lancero. The company will also feature its new coffee line.

D’Crossier Cigars ♦: Santana Diaz’s company will showcase the D’Crossier Golden Blend Assortment, and the new Flor de D’Crossier No. 560. Finally the Flor de D’Crossier Selection No.512 will move production to the Dominican Republic, get a packaging facelift, and add a maduro counterpart.

Davidoff ♦: This years’s big release in the Davidoff Winston Churchill Late Hour. In addition, I would expect the Davidoff Master Selection Series and the recently announced 6 x 60 Discovery Pillar Line Extensions to be showcased.

Duran Cigars ♦: The company is not expected to be at the 2017 IPCPR Trade Show

E.P. Carrillo ♦:  E.P. Carrillo Elencos is returning. In addition the long awaited La Historia Encore will be showcased. While Ernesto Perez-Carrillo will still be a star, the booth will have some additional star-power with José Blanco at the booth.

El Artista: The company will showcase David Ortiz’s Big Papi Cigars. Ortiz is expected to make a brief appearance on the trade show floor.

El Primer Mundo ♦: The company will launch the Clase Reserve Connecticut. In addition, the recently rebooted Larceny and last year’s 10 Year Anniversary will be showcased.

Emilio Cigars ♦: The Emilio LJZ will be launched at this years’ trade show.

Espinosa Cigars ♦: The big release will be the new Espinosa Reggae and Reggae DREAD. The company will also introduce a revamped Murcielago done in conjunction with A.J. Fernandez.

Esteban Carreras Cigars ♦: No announcements have been made.

Foundation Cigar Company ♦: The company will launch the  The Wise Man (El Güegüense)The new collaboration with Highclere Castle Cigar Co. will als make its debut. In addition the company will showcase its new coffee line and the Collector’s Humidor.

Fratello Cigars ♦: The company will formally launch the Fratello Navetta.

General Cigar Company ♦:  Most of the new announcements have been held off until the Trad Show opens. We do know there is a new collaboration with Ernesto Perez-Carrillo coming out known as  La Gloria Cubana Colección Reserva. Macanudo Inspirado will have the new Black and White blends.  It is also anctipated the final cigar of the Amazon Trilogy will make its debut

Guayacan Cigars ♦:  Noel Rojas’ company will not be at the 2017 IPCPR.

Gurkha Cigars ♦: The company will bring back the Master Select and the Havana Legend. The Cigar News: Gurkha 10th Anniversary 15 Year Cellar Reserve will be officially unveiled. In addition, the Blendmaster’s Cask will be relaunched.

Island Lifestyle Importers LLC ♦: The company will launch three new sizes across the three blends of the Island Lifestyle Aged Reserve line. In addition, three Tommy Bahama cigar accessories collections will be launched: Tommy Bahama “Cigar Club”Tommy Bahama Regatta Collection, and ITommy Bahama Back Nine Golf Series.

J.C. Newman Cigar Company: There have been no public announcements on products made at this time.

JM Tobacco :♦: The company has acquired Zoidian Cigar and will introduce a new lineup.

JSK Cigars:♦: Riste Ristevski‘s company will not be distributing at the 2017 Trade Show.

Joya de Nicaragua ♦: The company will officially launch the Antaño Gran Reserva. The Antaño Dark Corojo will have new packaging, and there will be a new Joya-branded Sampler.

Kafie 1901 Cigars ♦: Gaby Kafie’s company will not be at the 2017 IPCPR.

Kristoff Cigars: There have been no public announcements on products made at this time.

Kuuts LLC ♦: The company will not be at the 2017 IPCPR.

L’Atelier Imports : There have been no public announcements on products made at this time.

La Barba Cigars ♦: Tony Bellato’s company will introduce new bands for its La Barba Red and Purple lines. They will be at the Caldwell booth.

La Flor Dominicana ♦:  The company’s signature release will be the La Volcada. For the first time in four years there will be a Factory Press release. Finally La Nox Petite will now be available in 50 count cabinets.

La Palina Cigars ♦:  Bill Paley’s company will formally unveil the La Palina Number Series. In addition, the La Palina Classic Natural will make its debut. Finally, the company will unveil the new La Palina Adds Illumination Toro line extension.

Las Cumbres Cigars ♦: Emma Viktorsson’s company will not be at the 2017 IPCPR Trade Show

Legacy Brands ♦: Victor Vitale’s company will not be at the 2017 IPCPR.

Matilde Cigars ♦: The company is not expected to showcase anything new. We expect Matilde Serena, a cigar slowly introduced to market last year to get a bigger push.

Miami Cigar and Company ♦: The Tatiana Groovy Blue will get a line extension in the brand’s popular La Vita size. (Petite Lancero)

Mombacho Cigars SA ♦: The company will introduce the Cosecha 2012.

Moya Ruiz Cigars ♦: The company will officially launch its Il Ridotto line which was previewed last year.

My Father Cigars : The return of Vegas Cubanas will be showcased. It has also been reported that the company will launch a line called La Opulenca.

Nat Sherman  ♦: No new product announcements have been made, but this will be the company’s first IPCPR since Altria acquired them.

Nomad Cigar Company ♦: Nomad Fin de Los Mundos will have a formal launch. The company will also showcase the Nomad Classic Dominican First Run 2012.

Ocean State Cigars ♦: Paul Joyal’s company will not be at the 2017 IPCPR.

Oliva Cigar Company: The company will launch the new Oliva Gilberto. No general press information has been disclosed.

Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Company ♦: The new My Way by Bayron Duarte will be launched. In addition,The Oscar Maduro will be launched. Finally 2012 by Oscar will receive line extensions.

Padrón Cigars: No new product announcements have been made.

PDR Cigars: No new product announcements have been made.

Perdomo Cigars: No new product announcements have been made, but the company is expected to showcase many of its predicate blends and new packaging.

Quesada Cigars ♦: The Q D’Etat series is returning for another run for the first time in five years. The Oktoberfest 2017 will also be showcased. Finally the company will introduce a barber-pole offering to the Quesada Reserva Privada

Recluse Cigar Company ♦: The company will not be at the 2017 IPCPR Trade Show.:

Rocky Patel Premium Cigars ♦: The company will introduce a new installment to the Vintage Series with Rocky Patel Vintage 2006 San Andreas. Hamlet Parades gets a new cigar with the Hamlet 25th Year. Meanwhile a new installment to the Java series comes with the Java Red. Finally the Rocky Patel Fifty Toro returns for a limited run

RoMa Craft Tobac ♦: No new products are expected to be launched for the U.S. market, but there are some lines extensions to Neanderthal that may be going to Europe.

Royal Agio Cigars: This year as it prepares to get its own sales and distribution in the U.S.,  the company will have it own booth at IPCPR – although this year its products will still be at Drew Estate.

Santa Clara Cigars ♦: The distribution arm for JR Cigar will showcase the recently released Montecristo Crafted by A.J. Fernandez and Romeo y Julieta Crafted by A.J. Fernandez.

Selected Tobacco ♦: The company will unveil five new line extensions to Atabey. The company will introduce two limited edition humidor options for Byron.

ST Dupont ♦: The company will unveil the new design for its miniJet lighters.

Southern Draw ♦: The company will have a national launch for its Jacobs Ladder line. In addition, the company will unveil new packaging at the Trade Show.

Tatuaje Cigars : Typically the company has showcased its Monster release, so it is anticipated the Tatuaje Michael will be displayed.

Ventura Cigar Company ♦: The company will launch Hugo Chairman, a project done with Rocky Patel. In addition Case Study 01-05 will be showcased.

Viaje Cigars ♦: The company will showcase its Viaje 10th Anniversary cigar.

Vintage Rockefeller Cigar Group ♦: Kevin Schweitzer will go into his first IPCPR as a company owner and showcase his whole portfolio – highlighted by his Gold Series, Vintage Nicaraguan, and Dominican Classic blends.

Whiff Industries ♦: The company will introduce two new Whiff Out scents.

White Hat Tobacco: No new product announcements have been made.
