- Drew Estate: The Undercrown Dogma is returning as a part of Smoke Inn’s Cigar Dojo Ultimate Sampler.
- Alec Bradley: This April the Alec Bradley Medalist will have a global release.
- E.P. Carrillo: The long-awaited E.P. Carrillo Encore will be released March 15th.
- J.C. Newman Cigar Company: The company’s Cuesta-Rey Cigar will not return to Tropicana Field in 2018
- Mombacho Cigars.: Announced its Casa Favilli factory in Grenada, Nicaragua was named a TripAdvisor Top Tourist Destination and was awarded Certificate of Excellence.
- Tabacalera U.S.A.: Announced plans to open a new Casa de Montecristo Lounge in Hallandale, Florida
Legislative News
- House of Representatives: H.R. 564 is a proposed piece of legislation that calls for an exemption from FDA Regulation for premium handmade cigars. This week no new co-sponsors were added. The total number of sponsors remains at 143.
- U.S. Senate: S.294 is the Senate companion bill to H.R. 564. This week no new co-sponsors were added. The total number of sponsors remains at 20.
- House Bill 1136: H.R. 1136 is the legislation to change the Grandfather Date for Deeming Tobacco products subject to FDA Regulation from February 15, 2017, to 21 days after enactment of the regulations. This week no new co-sponsors were added. The total number of sponsors remains at 91.
- Minnesota: A bi-partisan group of lawmakers is seeking to raise the age to purchase tobacco to 21.
