At the 2018 IPCPR Trade Show, Fratello Cigars will launch its fifth line, the Fratello Inverso. The name translated from Italian “inverse shuttle” and that is because it is an offshoot of the Fratello Navetta, but with the tobaccos literally inverse in the blend.
The Fratello Navetta Inverso it features all of the same tobacco components as the Fratello Navetta, but they are assembled into the blend differently. Navetta Inverso features a Habano Nicaraguan wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder, and a combination of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. (The original Navetta featured an Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican binder, and Nicaraguan filler). The cigars are available in three sizes: Corona Gorda, Robusto, and Toro Grande. The cigars are presented in 20-count boxes.
“It does not cease to amaze me how one leaf of tobacco can change a blend entirely. In our case we changed it all.” commented de Frias. “Reality is when you use well fermented and aged tobaccos, the likelihood that the cigar will be great is high.”
