Mombacho Cigars has officially unveiled details on its long-awaited Casa Favilli line, a cigar named for the company’s factory in Grenada, Nicaragua.  More importantly, it’s one that is quite unique in that it utilizes a Nicaraguan Broadleaf wrapper.

On Prime Time Special Edition #24 back on February 28, 2018, company President Claudio Sgroi discussed the Casa Favilli line and that it would incorporate the use of a Nicaraguan-grown Broadleaf from Jalapa.  The rest of the blend incorporates Nicaraguan tobaccos.

Cigar Aficionado reports the cigar comes in three sizes packaged in 12-count boxes: Robusto, Toro, and Torpedo. The publication also reported release is slated for 2019 with a soft-launch to select retailers in 2018.

Our full interview with Sgroi appears below. The 1:24:00 mark is where you can hear about the project.
