Appearances on Countdown (By Year/Brand): 7 (2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2019)

Coming in at #20 is the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Vibrato by Boutique Blends Cigars. Back in 2018, Boutique Blends did a major overhaul to its portfolio. During the revamping, several line extensions were introduced. One such line extension was to the Aging Room Quattro line – the line that featured box-pressed cigars. This extension would be the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua. The Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua is different than the other Quattro offerings. It is produced at AJ Fernandez’s factory in Nicaragua. Boutique Blends co-founder Rafael Nodal had worked with Fernandez on the Aging Room Pelo de Oro and was also teaming up with him for several projects for Altadis USA.

While the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua is also produced in Nicaragua, it is a blend that uses all-Nicaraguan tobaccos. The Vibrato is a 6 x 54 offering and keeping with the Quattro’s mission it is box-pressed.

The Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Vibrato has landed Boutique Blends on the Cigar Coop Countdown for a record-tying seventh time. At the time this slot on the 2019 Countdown was announced, it becomes the third Nicaraguan puro to secure a spot. It’s also the second cigar from Tabacalera AJ Fernandez to land on the 2019 Countdown.

In terms of flavor, the Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Vibrato produced notes of chocolate, earth, red pepper, cedar, and cherry. It’s a cigar that is medium to full in strength and body making it one of the bolder offerings in the Aging Room portfolio.

The Aging Room Quattro Nicaragua Vibrato is a somewhat bold offering that doesn’t go overboard with the spice. This cigar has great flavor and plenty of balance. It’s one worthy of a Top 20 spot on the Countdown.
