Rocky Patel Premium Cigars has announced the return of its Rocky Patel Winter Collection brand. This is a cigar that started out as a seasonal release that has seen several incarnations over the years. News of the return was first reported by Cigar Aficionado.

Back in 2008, Rocky Patel Premium Cigars launched its Seasonal Series – a series of limited edition cigars to coincide with each of the four seasons. This included the Spring Collection, Summer Collection, Autumn Collection, and Winter Collection. During that time, the Winter Collection emerged as the star of the series. This was a cigar that featured a Pennsylvania Broadleaf wrapper and was produced at AJ Fernandez’s factory. This led to the return of the Winter Collection in 2012 with the Rocky Patel Winter Collection 2012. The 2012 edition featured a completely different blend including tobaccos from Panama and Costa Rica and an Ecuadorian Maduro wrapper.

The Winter Collection 2020 introduces another blend – highlighted by a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and a combination of Honduran and Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar is available in four sizes. Production is handled out of Rocky Patel’s Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. (TAVICUSA) factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
