The year 2020 marks the 145th anniversary of the Romeo y Julieta brand – and to commemorate the milestone, Altadis U.S.A. has announced a limited release called Romeo y Julieta Eternal. The cigar is scheduled to hit stores before the end of the year.

Romeo y Julieta Eternal is described as a collaboration between the Plasencia family and Tabacalera USA Head of Product Development Rafael Nodal. The cigar itself is a Nicaraguan puro that comes in one size – a 54 x 6 Toro. The cigars will be presented in 11-count boxes with pricing at $15.00 per cigar.

“Romeo y Julieta Eternal is hand-crafted with luxurious tobaccos from the Plasencia’s private reserve in Nicaragua – the land of volcanos and rich soils – and boasts a stunning caramel-toned wrapper that has been double fermented and aged for 26 months,” commented Nodal.

One additional feature is that the 11-count box will each have one cigar that has a golden ring. “Eternal’s golden ring symbolizes the strong bond between aficionados and Romeo y Julieta and the everlasting love of the iconic star-crossed lovers,” added Nodal. “It is a love that has proven to be eternal.”
