Forged Cigar Company, the recently launched subsidiary under Scandinavian Cigar Group has announced it will be selling cigars from the El Rey del Mundo brand to its brick and mortar customers beginning in February. Previously, El Rey del Mundo was sold through JR Cigar and distributed through Santa Clara Cigars.

El Rey del Mundo is described as a Honduran-forward blend available in a natural version and maduro version. Each consist of Honduran-grown binder and filler. The El Rey del Mundo Natural features an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper while the El Rey del Mundo Maduro utilizes a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Both are produced at the HATSA factory in Danlí, Honduras.

“El Rey Del Mundo is exactly the type of brand that will flourish under The Forged Cigar Company. By introducing this established brand to brick and mortar retailers nationwide and supporting it with customized programming to drive interest among cigar lovers, my team and I will take a brand with great potential to the next level. We look forward to generating a lot noise at retail for El Rey Del Mundo, our first brand to debut under Forged,” said Sean Hardiman, national sales manager of The Forged Cigar Company, in a press release.
