For the fourth year in a row, Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) will have a release for the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) Exclusive Series. For 2021, it will be the Diesel brand that will have TAA Exclusive Cigar for the first time. The cigar is called the Diesel Disciple and it will be a cigar offered up exclusively for TAA retailers. In addition to being Diesel’s first TAA cigar, it will mark the first TAA release for STG’s new subsidiary Forged Cigar Company.

It’s an interesting road that has taken Diesel to the TAA which up until four years ago was primarily considered a catalog brand. Now its a brand being positioned as an exclusive series for some of the biggest brick and mortar retail

Diesel Disciple is a cigar blended by AJ Fernandez at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez in Estelí, Nicaragua. It’s a project that was done in collaboration with Diesel brand manager Justin Andrews. The cigar features a Mexican San Andres wrapper, Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and Nicaraguan Habano fillers. The cigar is a 7 x 38 lancero available in ten-count boxes. A total of 1,000 boxes have been produced. Pricing is set at $8.99 per cigar or $89.90 box.

This cigar is expected to arrive at retailers this July.
