Casa Turrent is the brand owned by the famed Mexican tobacco family, the Turrents. Casa Turrent was one of nine premium cigar companies that were a part of the Sutliff Tobacco group at the PCA Trade Show. This year Casa Turrent focused on line extensions to the Casa Turrent 1880 line.

For the past few years at the Trade Show, Casa Turrent has been the one Mexican-based company. This year, Casa Turrent faced some competition as there was a new company called Casa 1910 that also was from Mexico. While one can argue Casa 1910 had more buzz, the fact that Casa Turrent was at the Sutliff booth probably gave Casa Turrent an advantage. I saw several large retailers at the Sutliff booth placing pipe tobacco orders, and each of them looked at the cigar brands being exhibited at Sutliff with interest – therefore, Casa Turrent most likely did quite well from being there.

As for the line extensions, four blends of the Casa Turrent 1880 line (Casa Turrent 1880 Claro, Casa Turrent 1880 Colorado, Casa Turrent Oscuro, and Casa Turrent Maduro) will each receive a Short Robusto (4 3/4 x 52), Robusto (5 1/4 x 55), Perfecto (5 1/2 x 54), and Lancero (7 1/2 x 40). They join the current Toro (6 1/2 x55) offering in each of these lines.
