Stoic Cigars Equanimity

Stoic Cigars has announced the release of its second line, Equanimity. This cigar was inspired by the Stoic ideal of maintaining a state of inner peace, undisturbed by external circumstances. The company says Equanimity’s blend illustrates how the intensity and complexity of multiple tobaccos, much like life’s perceived problems, can actually facilitate a state of tranquility when properly balanced.

Equanimity features a Corojo wrapper over a Criollo ’98 binder. The filler boasts additional tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, the U.S., and South America. Stoic Cigars’ latest release, Equanimity, will be available in four regular production vitolas, similar to their initial offering, Stoic. Each size will come in 20-count boxes, and the options remain the same as those from the inaugural release. Each vitola symbolizes one of the four core virtues of Stoicism.

  • Courage (5 x 50)
  • Justice (6 x 52)
  • Wisdom (7 x 48)
  • Moderation (5.5 x 46)

“Equanimity has been a labor of love, in development for over a year,” said Vance Taylor, Founder and CEO of Stoic Cigars. “Achieving equanimity is the ultimate ambition of Stoic practice, so it was imperative that we invest the time, energy and resources to ensure this blend not only impresses new levels of intensity and complexity upon our customers – reflecting the natural challenges of life – but that it maintains a delicate and harmonious balance throughout. Smoking Equanimity should remind our customers that while life can be difficult, when we practice acceptance of the things we can’t control, and balance our emotions, we can live peacefully.”

Pricing ranges from an MSRP of $12.50 to $14.00 per cigar. The line launches on August 21st at a ticketed event with retail partner Summit Cigar Company in Akron, OH.
