At the 2015 IPCPR Trade Show, Avo Cigars showcased its new rebranding look. Earlier this year, as an extension of the rebranding of Avo, the Improvisation Series was launched as a new limited edition Series. The trade show marked the opportunity to showcase not only the regular production rebranding, but the second installment of the Improvisation Series – Avo Classic Covers Volume 2.
The concept of the Avo Improvisation Series is to draw inspirations from previous Avo releases to create a whole new cigar. The concept is similar to the relationship of a cover song to an original song. With the Avo Classic Covers Volume 2, it was the Avo Heritage that was used as the foundation. Building on the Dominican tobaccos, it incorporates tobacco from Nicaragua (the third Avo blend to do so), as well as a Mexican binder. The cigar is finished with an Ecuadorian 702 Marron wrapper.
Avo Classic Covers Vol. 2 follows the original Avo Classic Covers release – which was inspired by the Avo Classic blend.
The Avo Classic Covers Vol. 2 release will be available in one size – a 6 x 54 Toro. Pricing will be $16.00 per cigar The cigars will be packaged in 16 count boxes. Production will be a total of 3,500 boxes. Distribution is limited to the U.S. only.
The company also showcased a new display unit available to retailers. The unit displays one open box and houses 5 unopened boxes.
