#27 Esteban Carreras 5150

It’s time for the fourth installment of “30 Sticks in 31 Days”, my Top 30 2010 Cigar of the Year countdown.

Coming in at #27 is Esteban Carreras’ 5150 cigar.   I’ve said this many times, when it comes to the Indie Cigar market, I do believe Esteban Carreras is at the top.

The 5150 is a medium strength, medium body, Nicaraguan filler/ binder cigar with an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper.  While this cigar had a simple band on the foot, it is loaded with complexity.   It has a unique flavor of cayenne pepper and cream.  It also produces notes of coffee and nuts later in the smoke.

Esteban Carreras has been consistent in producing quality sticks in the value-priced $5.00-$7.00 range – and this one is no exception.

A full review is available here for more details on my experience with this cigar.
