Dion Giolito, founder of Illusione Cigars was a guest on the 3/10/12 Kiss My Ash Radio show and gave some insights into the status of two projects – the Singulare and Ultra lines.

Giolito mentioned back-orders in tobacco were much of the reason for the delays of the 2011 Illusione Singulare.  For 2012, the Singulare project will feature both a Singulare 2011 and a Singulare 2012 cigar in the boxes being shipped.  One blend will feature a Cafe Rosado Corojo wrapper, while the other blend will feature a San Andres Maduro wrapper.  The maduro cigars will be tissued-wrapped.  Both the corojo and maduro cigars will be arranged in an alternating fashion in each of the cigar boxes.   Giolito did not give a time-frame on when these will be shipping.

Giolito also gave an update on the Ultra line.  Last year, Illusione released the first size last year – the Illusione MK Ultra.   There has been word for a while that there would be line extensions to this cigar.  Giolito confirmed that three new sizes have been made and they are currently sitting in the warehouse as they came in “wet” and were not ready to smoke.   No timetable for the Ultra line extensions have been announced.
