Today, we provide a score for the Casa Miranda Chapter One by Miami Cigar and Company. This was a cigar we assessed back in September 2011.
Casa Miranda Chapter One |
The Casa Miranda Chapter One was launched by Miami Cigar and Company at the 2011 IPCPR Trade Show. This marked a change for Miami Cigar and Company as they turned to El Titan de Bronze in Miami, Florida to blend this cigar. The cigar was blended by Willy Herrera. It was our understanding that this cigar would be limited in terms of production numbers each year. Casa Miranda proved to be a home run for Miami Cigar and Company in our book as it finished as our #6 Cigar of 2011. Today, with 18 months of age on the Casa Miranda, we take another look at this cigar and provide a numerical score.
The blend features Nicaraguan tobaccos in the binder and filler and is wrapped by an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The cigar was released in three sizes: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52), and a Torpedo (6 x 52). In today’s assessment update, we look at the Robusto. This was the same size we assessed back in 2011.
The Casa Miranda Chapter One did not lose anything in terms of the flavor it provides. It features notes of berry, caramel, citrus, pepper, and cedar spice notes. The flavor notes all seemed to complement each other perfectly. The flavors are robust – definitely on the medium to full-bodied side. The Casa Miranda won’t overpower you – this is going to be a classic medium strength cigar.
The construction is outstanding and this is reflected in the burn and draw. Both score as good as they can get.
