Fratello 1821 Dominican Republic

At the 2025 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show, Fratello Cigars launched the 1821 Dominican Republic. This is the inaugural release of the Puro Collection, a collection where all the tobaccos originate from a single country.

As the name suggests, the 1821 Dominican Republic features 100% Dominican Tobacco. The year 1821 is significant because both the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua declared their independence from Spain that year.

“We at Fratello have been known for working on tobacco blends from various countries. With the Puro Collection, I wanted to challenge myself and create something truly extraordinary with a single origin blend, and the Fratello 1821 Dominican Republic delivered,” commented founder and CEO Omar de Frias in a press release prior to the 2025 PCA show.

The 1821 Dominican Republic comes in one size – a 6 x 58 parejo. Each is presented in 12-count boxes. Pricing comes in at $18.21 per cigar. Production originates from the La Aurora factory in the Dominican Republic.

The 1821 Dominican Republic is scheduled to ship in September. Fratello has also said that a Fratello 1821 Nicaragua will follow as the next installment.
