2021 will see JR Cigar celebrate its 50th anniversary. To mark the occasion, a limited edition offering from the Romeo y Julieta brand will be released, appropriately called the Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada JR 50th.

The Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada JR 50th is highlighted by a Mexican Criollo wrapper over a Connecticut binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Production is handled out of Tabacalera de Garcia in the Dominican Republic. The cigar will be available in one size – a 5 x 54 Rothchilde. Each cigar will be packaged in an individual red tube. There will be 12 tubes per box with a total allocation of 500 boxes. Pricing is set at $15.00 per cigar.

“We are incredibly fortunate to work with JR Cigar on this momentous project,” said Rafael Nodal, Head of Product Capability for Altadis U.S.A. in a press release. “From its complex blend, to its packaging and even the band, Romeo y Julieta Edicion Limitada JR 50th is the perfect cigar to launch this year-long celebration. We are looking forward to many more years of working with the JR team,” added Nodal.
