Santa Clara Cigars will receive a third installment of the Rocky Patel Freedom line, the Rocky Patel Freedom Maduro.

The Rocky Patel Freedom line was a high-profile release for Rocky Patel Premium Cigars back in 2012. The name Freedom meant to evoke gratitude for the ability to continue legally enjoying cigars. The original cigar was highlighted by an Oscuro wrapper. A few years later, distribution for the line was quietly moved to Santa Clara Cigars. A second blend was added to the series for Santa Clara with the Rocky Patel Freedom Connecticut. Now the Rocky Patel Freedom Maduro becomes the third blend.

The Rocky Patel Freedom Maduro is a Nicaraguan puro highlighted by a Habano Oscuro wrapper. Production comes from Rocky Patel’s TAVICUSA factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. It is available in three sizes – each in 20-count boxes.

“With the success of Rocky Patel Freedom and Freedom Connecticut, we fully expect the Maduro release to be a big hit with adult cigar smokers,” said David Joyce, director of wholesale operations for Santa Clara. “It is specially made for Santa Clara by legendary manufacturer Rocky Patel, a proven name and brand that should be part of any retail humidor regular cigar rotation.”

“The Rocky Patel Freedom is more than just a fantastic cigar, it is a symbol of all that exemplifies the cigar industry,” added Rocky Patel. “With the addition of this rich and bold maduro, the Freedom line now offers a cigar for every preference.”

Santa Clara Cigars is the brick and mortar distribution arm of JR Cigars and Casa de Montecristo.
