The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has published its proposed rules regarding the ban of Flavored Cigars to the Federal Register.  It has also opened up a public comment period on what it has proposed.

The Federal Register is the official journal of the federal government of the United States that contains government agency rules, proposed rules, and public notices. Last week, the FDA announced what it was going to publish to the Federal Register. The content of what went to the Federal Register is identical to what was announced last week.

Opening the proposed rules to public comment is a part of the rule-making process. Comments will be accepted electronically or written from May 4, 2022, until July 5th, 2022. The FDA is also scheduling public listening sessions on June 13 and June 15.
