Cigar News: Southern Draw Adds Manzanita Lancero

As it has done the past couple of years, Southern Draw Cigars has used the fall season to announce its new products. This week the company made a series of line extension announcements, one of which is a lancero size to its Manzanita line. The Manzanita Lancero will make its debut to the Cigora exclusive cigar community, and then will be made available to Southern Draw retailers in October 2022.

The Manzanita Lancero becomes the fourth vitola in the Manzanita line. The cigar measures 7 1/2 x 40 and is packaged in ten-count boxes. While the origins of the tobaccos in the blend are not disclosed, the leaf varietals are. Manzanita utilizes a Habano Hybrid wrapper over a Habano binder and fillers consist of Pelo d’Oro, Corojo ’99, and undisclosed tobaccos from ligero primings.

“Despite the active rumor mill, Southern Draw Cigars has been very busy over the last eighteen months, these new releases represent only a portion of the line extensions and new products that have been slated for Fall/Winter 2022. Pricing for the Southern Draw Manzanita Lancero is set at $11.99. The cigar is slated to have an annual production of 5,000 boxes per year.
