Oveja Negra Brands has announced the return of the Black Work Studio S&R. The Black Works Studio S&R was first introduced in 2016. This year, the S&R gets a revamped blend as it will now feature a barber-pole wrapper. The cigar is currently shipping to retailers.

The barber-pole wrapper of the Black Work Studio S&R 2023 edition features a dark Sumatra wrapper intertwined with an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper. The remainder of the blend features an Ecuadorian Habano binder and a combination of Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. The cigar is being offered in three sizes: Robusto, Corona Larga, and a Lancero Culebra. The Robusto and Corona Larga are presented in 20-count boxes. The Lancero Culebra consists of a unit of three twisted cigars in a single box. Production is handled at Fabrica Oveja Negra.

“Very excited for the return of S&R. This year’s release features a beautiful dark Sumatran wrapper mixed with Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade. The S&R is a bold, medium strength, full flavor blend. The profile combines herbal citrus notes with cocoa and a complex mix of chili & white pepper spice,” commented James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Company/Black Works Studio and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
