At the 2023 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show, Casa Turrent showcased a streamlined version of its Casa Turrent 1880 line. This included reducing the seven regular production blends in the line down to a single size – a 5 1/4 x 55 Robusto. In addition, the packaging has also been updated.

Casa Turrent is the cigar brand produced by the Turrent family out of Mexico. The Turrents are world-renowned for growing tobacco in Mexico as well as producing cigars. In 2015 the Turrents began to distribute their cigars in the U.S. Over the past few years, Sutliff Tobacco has been handling distribution.

The Casa Turrent 1880 pays homage to the year the Turrent family started growing tobacco. It’s a line that has expanded over the years for Casa Turrent. It now has seven regular production blends: Doble Claro, Claro, Rosado, Colorado, Oscuro, Maduro, and Doble Maduro – each blend named for the wrapper that is used. It’s a San Andres Negro Mexican wrapper but with different color grades. The company has now paired down these offerings to the Robusto size.

There is also the limited Casa Turrent 1880 Edición Limitada. While the seven regular production blends contain tobaccos aged at least six years, the Edicíon Limitada contains tobaccos aged at least ten years. The Edición Limitada contains tobaccos aged at least ten years.

The seven regular-production Casa Turrent Robusto cigars are priced at $20.00 SRP. The Casa Turrent 1880 Edición Limitada is priced at $25.00.
