Cayman Cigar Company is taking production for The Caravel to Tabacalera La Isla in the Dominican Republic. Tabacalera La Isla is the factory owned by Hostos Quesada Fernandez.
Cayman Cigar Company is based in the Cayman Islands and has a small factory there. Cayman Cigar Company is known for its charitable activities, donating 100% of its profits to such endeavors. For this line, the company has opted to partner with a large operation. This is the first time that the company has ventured outside the Cayman Islands to produce a cigar.
“I’m thrilled to join forces with Tabacalera la Isla,” said Scott Haugh of Cayman Cigars. “This collaboration goes beyond cigars; it’s a fusion of traditions, expertise, and our shared commitment to delivering the finest to aficionados,” he continued.
Hostos Fernandez Quesada added, “Cayman’s dedication to charity and recovery work is something that really spoke to me, and as such, I am honored to be a part of their project that supports that work.”
The Caravel is now being rolled in a classic Robusto size – measuring 50 x 5 1/4. The blend features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Dominican binder and a combination of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers.
Cayman Cigar Company says The Caravel will be available online and at select retailers.
