At InterTabac 2024, Casdagli Cigars introduced two new additions to its Brothers of the Sabre Line with the Epicurist and Vater. Both are regular production releases that will be available to Casdagli Cigars’ distributors worldwide.

The Brothers of the Sabre line was introduced at the PCA 2023 Trade Show. It pays homage to generals from the Napoleonic Wars for their military achievements and love of tobacco. Over the next four years, Casdagli Cigars plans to release two new generals’ lines annually. Each general’s line will feature two or three vitolas.

The Epicurist line pays homage to Antoine Charles Louis de Lasalle, a general under Napoleon. Hendrik Kelner Jr‘s KBF factory in the Dominican Republic produces it. Epicurist features an Ecuadorian Claro Colorado wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers. It is available in two sizes: Figurado and Petit Robusto. The two sizes have slightly different blends. The Figurado focuses on middle priming leaves, while the Petit Robusto is adjusted with high primings.

Vater honors Austrian Field Marshal Joseph Radetzky von Radetz. Vater was a nickname Radetzky’s troops called him. Notably, the Vater also comes from KBF and features an Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican binder, and fillers from the USA, Dominican Republic, and Zimbabwe. Like the Epicurist, Vater is available in Figurado and Petit Robusto, with the Petit Robusto having higher primings.

The previous installments of Brothers of the Sabre were Brave and Forrader. The Epicurist and Vater use the same base leaves as Brave and Forrader respectively, but have been adjusted in terms of primings and percentages.

Epicurist and Vader are available in 20-count boxes. The Petit Robustos cost $13.70, and the Figurados cost $21.00. Casdagli Cigars will ship the Epicurist and Vader in October 2024.
